- Merchant Hotel Belfast

Loved our 2 nights in this hotel, however the titanic theme is a bit ott. Food and staff excellent though, really enjoyed Belfast and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness.
Got in after a hard day's night of traveling, they are very accommodating. They arranged a Black Taxi tour for us whilst we were awaiting check-in, the room was spacious and very comfortable. Room service was very speedy and the dining area (which was the building's lobby in it's original incarnation as a bank) was very impressive. The breakfast was...

We booked to celebrate our 5th wedding anniverary and stayed in the Lewis suite.
It is beautifully furnished and wonderfully comfortable.
We dined in The Great Room, and the food was beyond compare. The service was second to none. The Merchant is very professionally run. Nothing is left to chance, and every effort is made to make a stay there...

The cocktails are amazing!! Just remember to...

Grand luxury hotel with brilliant staff. In fact all over Belfast the residents could not have been more helpful. Has everybody been on training course of how to be nice to visitors? The public rooms in the Merchant are some of the best you will find. The bedrooms are well equipped, stylish and very comfortable. Everything you would expect from...

From the moment of arrival to departure we found nothing but perfection. The staff to a person was professional, friendly, informed and helpful. (We had stayed the previous night at the Portaferry Inn - owned by the Merchant and had the same experience.). We stayed on the "Deco" section and loved our large, sunny room with every thing we could...

I booked this hotel for my husband's 60th birthday. From arrival and being pleasantly greeted by Richard, the concierge, to the departure two days, later the entire experience was one of utter luxury and delight. All the staff, from the hotel, the great room restaurant, and Bert's, were friendly and professional. A lot of little touches were added to celebrate...

We stayed in the Friel Suite at the beginning of May 2012. The rooms were superb, as were the staff. The hotel is in a great location for shopping and the cocktails need to be sampled! I can highly reccomend the tasting menu in the restaurant. Fantastic hotel highly deserving of its star rating. Perfect retreat for a weekend with...
