My husband and I spent our first night back in Ireland at Oakleigh House in Newcastle. The beautiful flowers in the garden were in full bloom. We received a very warm welcome with offerings of tea or a variety of delicious hot chocolates! The room was very nice with a great bed and shower. The view from the breakfast room... More

Stayed here for a weekend break with my elderly mother. What a warm welcome we got on our arrival. The accommodation was excellent - rooms very comfortable and the food superb. Only problem was we couldn't eat it all - the breakfast keeps you going all day ! We were able to come and go as we pleased during the... More

We have just come back from spending 3 nights with Jan at the Oakleigh and it was amazing! The rooms are so comfortable and the service was fantastic. We couldn't have asked for anything more and if we did she would have done it for us.

My wife and I and our daughter and son-in-law stayed here last year and liked it so much we didn't bother to look anywhere else when we visited this year. The accommodation is spotless, the breakfast superb and the host - Jan - is delightful. Unusually the tea making facilities are in the corridor, but this means that Jan can... More

This is a lovely secluded B&B close to the Mournes & Newcastle. Really friendly and accommodation very comfortable. The annex is self-contained and therefore private.

We only had a few days in Newcastle and didn't want to stay in the town. Oakleigh is located just outside of town so it was a lovely quiet area. The rooms were small but all we needed with our own bathroom. Coffee / Tea and biscuits were always available in the hall to the breakfast room. Our host was... More
