Paddy's Place in Derry was a great hostel, the staff are super friendly and they run a clean and easy going hostel. The living room/TV room is very comfortable, kitchen is clean and the back area is a great place to hang out. The best part of this hostel was the staff, my last night at this hostel we all... More

Wonderful Hostel with great kids working here. I am part of a Paddy Wagon tour so we have been here for 2 nights. Very happy, especially after such a horrible experience in Belfast. SO glad to be here, clean, welcoming, friendly. Most importantly, I loved cuddling with the cat.

Dear Guest Thanks for your kind words about our hostel, thank you for saying it was very nice and my staff excellent. I understand your point about the common room closing at 11pm. BUT on certain nights we do close it at 11PM if there is any large groups. This is for YOUR safety and comfort, not to annoy you.... More

The team at Paddy's Palace spare no means in ensuring their guests squeeze every opportunity from their time in Derry. The friendly team can always be found in the cosy hostel to offer friendly advice, help you enjoy the city through a local's eyes, and make you feel at home. The hostel's famous pubcrawls are something that should not be... More

Paddy's Palace has very good location just a 5 min walk to very remarkable town. Stuff is friendly and don't hesitate when you need help or advice on sightseeing. They recommend you a good place to go out and even more, they go out with you! Rooms are tidy, there's a free breakfast and cozy and warm livingroom with fireplace.... More

I love it here at Paddy's Palace. It's like being back at home. Steve the owner, and his staff are helpful and friendly and make you feel welcome. Paddy's Palace is close to the town, where you find eveything you need. I come back here time and time again.

Steve - the owner, seems like a nice guy, really good knowledge of Derry and does a good walking history tour. But as a hostel manager = rubbish. Firstly he can't count. There were too many people on our tour to fit in his hostel/town house. Then when he thought he had it right, we all went to our rooms,... More

Dear 'marzy07' I find your review quite offensive. You say as a hostel manager I am 'rubbish'. Despite winning every award in the industry from Hoscars to Golden Backpacks, to often being number 1 hostel on tripadvisor.com for Derry... despite all this you are able to dismiss my proud 10 year career because you met me for 10 minutes max.... Back home for a few days, reviving from the tiredness, I begin to consider one day I might go back to Derry whose history fascinated me and whose city character is impressive. Paddy's Palace undoutedly weaved a piece of the good memory. A one-day stay seemed a bit too short in terms of the great atmosphere I enjoyed, but it... More
