We’ve stayed here 3 times and each time it’s like home from home! We like twin beds so always stay on the top floor. The essential requirements for a good B & B are peace and quiet away from traffic, clean rooms and comfortable beds, a decent shower, tea and coffee making facilities, good lighting for reading in bed, well... My husband and I stayed for one night at Claonairigh House on our way to Islay. It was a perfect beginning. We stayed in the Pooh Bear Room at the top of the house with wonderful views all around. Everything was comfortable. Fee and Garret has made a wonderful job of renovating this old building. They were also such a... More

Claonairigh (pronounced “Cloonery) House is in Argyll, a beautiful land of misty lochs and moody mountains. It’s just outside the village of Inveraray, an attractive cluster of whitewashed gabled buildings, astride an iconic Scottish castle. The B&B is within striking distance of the Isle of Arron, Argyll Forest Park, and the coastal resort town Oban. Owners Fiona and Garrett Corner... More

Stayed here more than once and have always found Fiona And Garret extremely welcoming hosts. The house is charming and full of character, with superb views over the surrounding hillsides. Very quiet location, but Inveraray is only 3.5 miles away there is no footpath so transport is needed as you take your life in your hands if you try to... More

Lovely hosts, great breakfast options and picture perfect rooms - you couldn't ask for more for a Scottish B&B experience. We arrived on a fairly miserable wet summers day and were welcomed with tea and a scone which was a great start to a lovely nights accommodation - would have loved to stay for longer. Great breakfast, real, delicious coffee... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed 2 nights at this lovely place. We had the double room and it was magical, just like out of an old movie! Service is just perfect and Fiona and her husband are always there for you if you need anything! And when the night came, you can borrow a horror dvd, sit back in the... More

My sister and I stayed here for five nights at the end of a three-week holiday in Scotland. We stayed in the Winnie-the-Pooh room, up two flights of stairs in a 1740's "laird's home". The room was immaculate, with great views of the countryside on one side and an old mill and a small cottage on the other. A climbing... More

Despite arriving in a tremendous windstorm that knocked out power in the whole area for the two days we had booked at Claonairigh House we had a wonderful stay. Not only did we get a perfect classic full English Breakfasts cooked on a wood stove, but we were also graciously invited at no extra cost to eat dinner with the... More
