my family took over the house when we stayed. Lovely bedrooms, each with their own unique theme. So peaceful and quiet and a great breakfast! We then helped feed the pig and my grandsons had a great time playing in the huge garden with Fiona's fantastic collies. Short but very sweet stay - Fiona is a great hostess.

Thanks for your lovely review. I really enjoyed meeting you all and suspect that the dogs missed the boys as much as the boys missed them! More

We stayed three days at Claonairigh House and felt from the beginning wellcomed. Claonairigh House is a lovely land house, very well placed for travelling around. Fiona is always ready to help with recommendations for excursions etc. The rooms are very nice decorated and fully equipped. And you don't find a better breakfast than Fiona's. We can really recommend Claonairigh... More

Stopped at Claonairigh House on the off-chance on our way to Islay. We were instantly made to feel very welcome by Fee and her daughter and supplied with tea and homemade cake. A beautiful location and a homely place to stay for just one night. Enjoyed the romantic room and the 4 poster bed.

the place is a bit hard to find and we passed a few ruins that scared us for 2 seconds. after that it was perfect. an amazing room, the best breakfast on our trip (freshly baked bread) and a wonderful landlady. We'll certainly keep this address - just in case we ever get back to Inveraray.

Unlike the review that has recently been posted by 'Jeff P' my wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Claonairigh House at the start of our visit to Scotland. The house is in a lovely and quiet position and our room (the four poster) was excellent and well furnished. The breakfast was very good and the talk with other guests... More

ok if you are easily pleased..being asked to book breakfast the night before was not the best idea ,could really do with updating ,as fraying around the edges pooh bear room at top claustrophobic, and furniture ie beds ancient ..but not antique

I am very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us and that our house, and the usually popular Winnie The Pooh room was not to your taste. Although the character of the room and furniture may not have been to your liking the mattresses and pillows are new .Our B and B remains very much... More

My sister and I stayed here for one night, in a twin room (themed Winnie the Pooh) at the top of the house. The room had a clean and bright ensuite bathroom of very good size. Our window was surrounded by roses which swarm up the back of the house, so we were looking out onto flowers and fresh air.... More

My husband and I spent the first 2 nights of our 2 1/2 weeks in Scotland here. Very warm welcome. This house was lovingly restored by the family. It is filled with character befitting a house built in the 1700's. The full Scottish breakfast served in the morning including fresh eggs from their own hens was delicious. We stayed on... More

We have stayed at Claonairigh on our way to and from Mull for the past 4 years and look forward to each visit. The welcome and wonderfully warm family atmosphere is second to none. Rooms (had experience of all now) are warm and welcoming with a theme to each. If you want a predictable, characterless environment in which to stay... More
