This was our second stay at the Briarbank, and once again we were treated to an excellent break. Firstly, Julie and Bob are such lovely people they make your stay a memorable one. The other important feature to note, is the guest house central location. All the amenities are within walking distance, including ferry terminal, boat rides to Kerrera and... More

This is defenetly the best accomodation in our week travel in Scotland. Once you'll climb a few steps to get to the door, the view and the quietness is worth it. Julie's welcome is absolutly perfect providing much more you'll expect in warmth and kindness. We stayed in Macdonald's room witch is lovely set with the clan's tartan. Breakfast was... More

I recently stayed at this lovely guest house with my boyfriend. Julie ( the owner) was very welcoming despite our last minute booking ( phoned in the taxi 3 mins before arrival). We were greeted by the sweetest lady who would obviously go out of her way to help any of her guests. The bedroom had a fantastic four poster... More

My wife and I just returned from a two night stay at Briarbank and really enjoyed our stay. We were met by the owner Julie and given a very warm welcome and shown to our room, which was the MacDonald room with four post bed, en suite (great shower) and sofa. All coffee, tea, biscuits, water provided as was shampoo,... More

Having stayed at Briarbank six years ago (albeit under different ownership) my husband and I were eager to return for our second wedding anniversary and were so pleased we had! Julie (the owner) is warm, welcoming and friendly and worked hard to ensure our stay was as relaxing as possible. The room was excellently laid out with many tiny touches... More

We definitely recommend Briarbank, it's very nicely decorated, the rooms are clean and warm, with lots of pillows and cushions on the bed, and the welcoming whisky was just what we needed after a long day travelling. Breakfast was good, a decent choice and well prepared and presented.
