Valerie and Alan looked after us beautifully, giving us delicious breakfasts to putting pink dressing gowns on our children's beds.....nothing was too much trouble. The house is very near the sea front so everything was a quick walk away. We would recommend Thornloe to anyone, especially if you want a clean handy place catering for children.

We stayed at the Thornloe for three nights when we first arrived in Scotland. It could not have been a better stay. We were there with our two children (1 and 4) and my parents. The Thornloe B&B is perfectly located in town with a short walk to the Harbor and all the sites. The view of the Harbor from our room was wonderful. The room was quiet, comfortable, and roomy. Plenty of parking for our large rental car. Oban is a beautiful area and we hope to return to see even more.

We had a wonderful stay at Valerie and Alan. We felt like family members. Val could answer any question we made. Also good understanding for sport life when returning with dirty clothes from orienteering competition. My wife and I stayed over 2 weeks in Scotland and England. We would rate Thornloe #1 of our bed & breakfast stays from Edinbugh, Oban, Keswick, London and Lyme Regis. The breakfast meal was superb (best of the trip) and advice sound on walks about the area. Excellent view and an overall great experience. We would eagerly return here.

Great little inn overlooking the water in Oban. Rooms were comfortable and well-decorated, breakfast was delicious, easy walk to town or up to Tower. Oban is a charming town with plenty to do and see.
