Friendly welcome from Wendy and Hugh. Very comfortable Guest House in the centre of Oban and just a short walk to the front. The beds were comfortable and the breakfasts tasty. Good luck for the future in your new venture.

Hi There, Thank you for the review and your good wishes for the future. It was lovely meeting you both and it was nice to see you on your return trip from Mull. We hope to see you again sometime in the future. Hope you have an enjoyable summer! Best regards Wendy and Hugh More

Friendly welcome from new owners Wendy and Hugh- just as good as my previous visit a few years back. Single room was bijou but it had everything except space - but there is a small lounge downstairs and you could get on line in the dining room. All I wanted was good B&B so it suited me fine. It is... More

We arrived at Glenroy very hot and wet, having cycled 50 miles through drenching rain and then up the very steep hill to the guest house. Thank goodness Louise is so welcoming and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. She tumble dried all our wet clothes and wouldn't accept any payment for it. The rooms were very comfortable, though... More

We stayed here in mid August on a tour of Scotland. The location was perfect only a short walk down the hill to the centre of Oban, however this could be tricky for those who find hills a problem. The guesthouse itself was quaint and homly perhaps a little over decorated for my own taste but very inkeeping with a... More

Louise and Donald are fantastic hosts. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Essentials were all there. Very helpful with any advice we required. Breakfast, there is no complains there, you can have a choice from Bacon, Sausage, Mushrooms, Tomato, Potato Scones, Baked Beans, Black Pudding and Eggs! Very close proximity to town, just 5-10 mins walk from the Calmac... More

Very comfortable B&B with lovely friendly couple running the place. Ours was a brief stay but we would definitely stay there again! Full Scottish breakfast in the morning was hearty and delicious.

An ideal situation up the hill above the town and only 10 minutes downhill walk to the ferry terminal. Off street parking makes it very convenient for leaving the car and taking the ferry for a day trip to Mull, Staffa and Iona. A clean, comfortable and quiet B& B with an excellent full Scottish breakfast.

Despite our later than expected arrival, Louise and Donald could not have been more welcoming. Our room was immaculately clean, comfortable and quiet and breakfast was beautifully prepared, with fresh strawberries to feast upon while we waited for our hot breakfast. A short walk down the hill to the port had lovely views. Highly recommended.

Just home after a two night stay in the Glenroy. This is absolutely one of the best Guest Houses we have ever stayed in. Louise and Donald are seasoned professionals and really seem to understand what guests are looking for when staying in a Guest House. The house is immaculate, our room (room3) was delightful, breakfast was delicious and our... More
