Really needs significant investment. Lovely setting and well placed for the Scottish Borders but the hotel is still in the 60s. Just spent three nights at waverley castle hotel. Food and menues excellent good choice in all courses. Service was excellent as well. All staff were very friendly and helpfull. Entertainment every night. Rooms were comfortable clean and warm. Yes hotel could do with a lick of paint in some areas but for the price we paid who cares.
