Recently went for breakfast with my brother, walked in and there was no staff anywhere. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes thinking someone would come to serve us but they didn't. Sat down across from the bar for 10 minutes and still no staff anywhere. So, after waiting 15 minutes for absolutely nothing we left and went to wetherspoons... More

My husband and I recently stayed here and didn't have a great experience all round but we gave it another chance and really glad we did!! Staff were great and really welcoming. The difference in presentation was fantastic and the food was great. Hats off to the new manager for doing a drastic turn around! We will definitely be back!... More

We were at the Queensberry hotel at the end of March and had a bad experience with the food to be honest it was terrible. We returned last night after being told that it had changed. We were surprised right away with the welcome we got at the bar. We placed our food order with the delightful girl behind the... More

Utterly disgusting! I m aware that it is a smith and jones so therefor most food is microwaved and reheated but this place is beyond a joke. Arrived at the Queensberry with my fiancé and young daughter, highchair was caked in the previous child's mess,so I therefor had to fully clean the highchair before use! 2 different menus on the... Worst day of my life! Rooms were immaculate but the service from downstairs and the food was disgusting. I had an all day breakfast with raw eggs and undone bacon - fantastic. The "supervisor" was utterly braindead and unhelpful. Never stay here. Please

Booked in as I couldn't get home in the snow. I opted for the single room, which was very small and freezing. There was a small radiator by the door but the heat didn't reach the rest of the room. The small wall-mounted TV didn't work, so I had to go all the way down to the bar to get... More

Booked a cheap getaway for me and my husband, and what a pleasant surprise. Rooms clean and very comfortable, okay could do with a bit of updating in the decor but the rooms are cleaned to a high standard and are well maintained. Breakfast is not at all terrible we were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. Think... More

MINGING! Rooms where filthy and same dirty sheets from previous occupants. No Heating in rooms. Breakfast was absolutely terrible- literally unedible. Overall worst Hotel ever stayed in my life! Dirty, Filthy, Trampy better off sleeping in the streets. DON'T STAY HERE!

It seems that the food here just gets worse!the cottage pie is nor made with mince-just some weird stringy stuff with a texture like rubber topped with burning hot potato and.....spring onions-WHY?truly awful and the service is shocking, very slow and not at all friendly.
