Myself and my Husband stayed here as part of our cycle tour journey from Lands End to John O Groats. All of our accommodation had been booked for us so we didn't have any contact with the owners before we arrived. The day we cycled to Moffat it rained so we arrived at their front door soaked to the skin... More

This is a very pleasant guest house, in a good location within wlaking distance of the town.We had two ajoining rooms on the top floor which was excellent for a family. The rooms could do with a freshen up, but the additional extras in the rooms were very welcome - good biscuits, fudges, fluffy towels, etc. The breakfast was particulalry... More

Just returned from another stay at this excellent guest house in Moffat. Lovely location, great hosts who are interested in you, lovely bedrooms and fantastic food. Buchan Guest House remains an excellent location for a stay whether one night or much more.

Lovely place, super breakfast and great friendly people. Chris opened the garage for the bike as soon as we arrived and Brenda gave us a warm welcome. The room was really nice and comfortable, nice to sit and have a coffee in the lounge of an evening. Brenda brought in and folded some kit after it had dried on the... More

This is my second stay at this guest house and it just can`t be faulted. 4 of us on motorbikes and the garage door had been opened ready for our arrival so we could put the bikes straight in. The rooms are so lovely and clean and the hosts are just so welcoming, nothing is too much trouble, any information... More

We stayed one night here, but wish we had time to stay longer. We arrived by cycle, dripping wet. Brenda gave us a warm welcome, the bikes were immediately stowed in the secure garage and our stuff magically dried whilst we played scrabble and drank tea in the guest lounge. After a great night’s sleep we had a wonderful breakfast,... More

We had been camping at Torvaig Camping Site, Portree, Isle of Skye in Scotland, and were planning on camping again this time in Moffat, but the weather was against us as we had non stop rain from Fort William, and being on a motorbike was not the best thing for bad weather. We were totally soaked to the skin, so... More
