can not comment on the accomodation but the food is dire and best avoided bills itself as the famous star, but would be more truthful if it billed itself as the infamous star shame as its a lovely building that could do with a decent chef

Great value for money! We felt very comfortable and our dog was welcomed. Evening meal was good and breakfast was excellent. We couldn't fault our stay. Nice one!

Hard to think this delightful village is only about 15 minutes from the motorway! The Famous Star Hotel, with it's excellent Christmas cheer, friendly staff and FANTASTIC cooked breakfast - teamed with a quality bed and great shower, is the perfect place for a weekend away. Highly recommended.

We had the family room for my wife. two boys and I and a double for my Mum. Me and my family stayed overnight on the long journey up to Nairne. Found this hotel by chance and seemed a nice friendly place. The room was a bit chilly but clean and comfy. There are lots of sweet ornaments around, makes it feel like staying at your grannys. Good value, can recommend.
