From the welcome to the superb food and a good nights sleep Hartfell House is almost perfect. My only quibble would be the small size of my single room, beautiful furniture and very comfortable but just a little bit small.

I acted on reccomendation and was glad I did as it was such a treat . Our room was beautiful and the food was so terrific in fact perfect. Our waitress was smashing as were the owners I highly reccommend Hartfell and restaurant

The welcome on a snowy evening was faultless, with a taxi service thrown in by Rob as we arrived too late for the kitchen. Rooms comfortable, breakfast fantastic- many thanks!

Wonderful hotel, homely, warm, welcoming, and friendly staff. Large rooms and good ensuite, good shower Clean, very clean. Would recommend. The restaurant, so I understand is independently run. Food very tasty, but so tiny portions, and no choice for vegetarians, although they where told of our dietary requirements at least a month in advance., big disappointment and expensive

We stayed at Hartfell House last October. It is a lovely old house, with really good rooms. The meals are excellent and well presented. It was, we thought, excellent value for money. Loved it, loved it, loved it... Best weekend break in a long time. Round of golf, followed by a delightful meal, followed by a wonderful nights sleep. I'll be back for sure!
