We stayed at the Garlands in early August with our three teenaged children. Bill was a very warm, friendly host and was great with our kids. The breakfast was excellent, the best we had at B&B's in the UK. He makes especially good porridge! It was an easy, short trip downtown on the bus. We highly recommend the Garlands.

The welcome was warm, the room very clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast fantastic. Bill the host was enthusiastic and full of local knowledge. I have stayed in Edinburgh many times but this was the best - look no further!

Bill who is the on-site manager of Garlan's is simultaneoulsy a warm and engaging host; he made us feel very much at home. Add to this that Garland's is a very tastefully and warmly furnished house with a lot of period accents. Accomodations were excellent, breakfast was superb and the service was great.
