Stayed here a couple of nights and although the room was clean it was very basic . This hotel has seen better days. A stale smell coming from corridors which are badly in need of redecoration. The place seems to resemble dormitories, not nice at all. Staff are friendly enough though, premises needs a facelift.

Friendly staff, extremely clean rooms and an out of this world breakfast. A plus was that we had to check out by 12 and not the usual 10 o'clock, which meant that we had more time to explore Edinburgh. The only issue is that there is no immediate parking at the hotel and dropping of your bags.

Stayed at the Point during an overnight visit to Edinburgh to catch a theatre performance. very pleasant staff who were helpful and obliging. I was mildly disappointed with this hotel as despite the excellent location the standards were not what I expected. The directions to find the hotel were not up to date, however the amount of work on the new tram lines in Edinburgh are sufficient to make this excusable. A good hotel with great views of the castle but in need of a bit of work to get rid of the damp patches in the bedroom and improve the bathroom - especially the shower.

I have stayed here on a few occasions and will be back again.
