I stayed here with my husband and it was the perfect place from which to see Edinburgh. It is an elegant regency house which has been restored and furnished beautifully by Sue. The rooms are extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very luxurious with underfloor heating. We stayed in the Garden Room which had everything you could possibly need. There were... More

Sue makes you feel truly at home. We extended our visit to Ediburgh, one of the great cities of the world, as we caught s 24 hour bug. Sue helped nurse us back to health, and ensured that we were able to make the most of our stay, Her four bedroom home is comfy and very close to all the... More

Six Brunton Place gave my husband and I the experence we wanted in a B&B in Edinburgh. It exceeded out expectations due to the level of detail that Sue provides in her historic home. The location was perfect and Sue's email communication before we arrived was helpful in locating the property. We wanted some down time during our stay and... More

William Playfair, the Georgian architect of Edinburgh's New Town, would have been proud of what Sue Thompson has done with Six Brunton Place. It is the best introduction to Edinburgh you could wish for. The interior design is both contemporary and classical. Sue supports the work of talented art students, as the walls of her beautifully furnished breakfast room show.... More

My wife and I were just there for three nights and were very impressed...First, it's near the center of town, about a fifteen minute walk to the castle...The place is very nice, but the beauty is in the details...The cereals are fantastic...fresh squeezed apple and orange juice...great coffee or tea...fresh breads bought daily...etc.. The hot breakfasts are very very good...made... More

Sue has created a beautiful resting place in her re-make of the oldest in a row of historic homes that line London Road aka Brunton Place. Friendly and gracious, she also respectfully disappears seeming to know exactly what you need. A lovely high ceilinged dining room with large windows overlooking a park, an easy walk to Holyrood park and castle,... More

We had three days in Edinburgh and could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. This gorgeous guest house is in a historic house in the New Town (1700's-1800's) close to every interesting toursit attraction. The Georgian house is exquisitely restored and the rooms feature amenities like heated stone floors in the bathroom and gourmet chocolates in the... More

We fell in love with Six Brunton Place before we even arrived! Sue was lovely and so kind throughout our entire booking process - and she was even better in person! I traveled with my wife and her sister and brother. The house is beautiful and the rooms are restored beautifully. The breakfast was excellent! We tried everything - and... More

Sue is the most welcoming proprietor I have ever come across. She makes you feel as if her home is your home and seems to genuinely enjoy interacting with guests. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She is also an architect and passionate about Georgian buildings which helps explain how she has managed to create such a stunning home... More

Six of us spent the May Bank Holiday weekend at Six Brunton Place! Sue's hospitality was remarkable and she was able to naturally connect with everyone from my retired in-laws to my eight year old. She is genuinely attentive and wants you to have a wonderful stay! I liked the previous reviewer’s format, so 10 MORE reasons to stay with... More
