This hotel has nice modern furnishings and bathroom. Everything was clean and we apprechiated the free wifi and car parking. We also had a lovely view onto the park. It was easily walkable to the royal mile and holyrood. The only down side was There were only 7 car spaces, which I found a little stressful as I didn't want... More

We stayed for two nights at the end of April and thought the hotel was ok. The rooms were average for a chain hotel, nothing spectacular. Walked into Edinburgh 1 day, took 30 minutes and we had quite a bit of rain, so used the bus next day. First morning we went down to breakfast and were really disappointed, we... More

Dear corusgirl Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us. The experience you have described at breakfast is certainly not the standard we aim to provide to our guests. Breakfast is an important part of any hotel stay and should be an enjoyable and satisfying part of your leisure break. I have instructed our Head Chef to... More

A great location overlooking the links with a pleasant traffic free walk to the city centre. Our room was large and comfortable, but located on the side of the hotel so no view, just the houses opposite. This was disappointing as we had gone for a superior room and were led to believe by the blurb on the website that... More

The location of the Bruntsfield Hotel was perfect for us. Basically we are not city people and definitely did not wish to stay right in the city centre. We loved the outlook across the green open space of Bruntsfield Links and the views towards the city centre. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk into the centre but we could have... More

I travelled by car from Fife, and despite road works in the centre of Edinburgh, I found the hotel easily, and was delighted to have free parking. A bonus in Edinburgh. The hotel staff were superb, friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. The manager should be very proud of his staff. The bedrooms were comfortable and very... More

we stayed for two nights, clean reception area, staff ok, food average, rooms acceptable, however when we opened the door to our room the smell of urine from the bathroom was very strong, we think it was because the toilet didnt have a window it was on an internal wall, the bathroom was very small and enclosed, however i did... Dear susancookshop Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us. I was disappointed to read your comments about your bedroom bathroom. I have investigated this with our Head Housekeeper and we are unable to find any reasonable explanation as to why this has occurred at the time of you occupying the bedroom. We will however be paying... More

I have just returned from a two night stay in this wonderful Hotel. I along with some old friends from various parts of the UK decided to have a get together in Edinburgh. We decided having looked at various options to stay at the Bruntsfield. Our decision was the correct one. This Hotel is superb. Our rooms were extremely comfortable... More

My husband and I use this hotel every time we stay in Edinburgh, which is about 3 times a year. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is to much trouble and they are always willing to go that extra mile to make our stay as it should be. The location is great with buses every 10/15 mins. It's one of the... More

Arrived at the hotel for 2pm checkin and fortunately got a space in car park. We found ample spaces at various times although its not quite peak season. Decided to have sandwiches in bar in lower ground floor. These were good value for a hotel and delivered with friendly service. Taxi is between £5-6 to start of Princes street and... More
