This hostel is really just a very good hotel, but charging reasonable prices and leaving out all the unnecessary extra. That said there was WiFi and TV available, clean and solid showers, and a very helpful attitude generally. It is only ten minutes walk into the heart of Edinburgh and all the sites, and we found this an excellent base.... More

I stayed in Eglinton Youth Hostel, within easy walking distance of Haymarket Railway Station and a short bus ride from Princes Street. It is in an elegant terrace with huge doors and windows, very smart inside and the staff are very friendly. The beds are soft and very comfortable and if you go there when it's quiet you can have...
