We recently stayed at Glenalmond and found it to be a great place to stay - location and the accommodating nature of both Fiona and Jimmy, in regards to our special dietary needs (gluten free), silly tourist questions and flexible itinerary. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. We look forward to staying with them again, and would recommend... More

My husband and I usually go up to Edinburgh a few times a year and we like to stay in this area of the city. On our recent trip, just before Easter, up our usual B&B was booked up, so after looking around we found Glenalmond—and we are so glad we did! It was just the best B&B we have... More

We stayed at Glenalmond House recently and found Fiona and Jimmy to be wonderful hosts. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast filling and delicious (even the haggis). Their list of local pubs and restaurants was very helpful, and a lending library is always a welcome touch. The location was convenient for walking or riding the bus into town.... More

My wife and I have recently returned form spending easter weekend in Eninburgh, We stayed at Glenalmond House, this location was ideal for us both as it was on a main bus route into the city centre which even on a busy day only took 10 mins. The welcome from Jimmy when we arrived was great he gave us the... More

we read reviews on trip advisor which were all positive and decided to book a weekend stay here and we were not disappointed.. from the moment we walked in the house, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast on both mornings were wonderful (pancakes, salmon and scrambled eggs and not forgetting a... More

I stayed 3 nights at Glenalmond House. On arrival I was welcomed by Fiona who give me a map of the city which included bus routes and numbers very handy. My room number 9 was a single room on the first floor road facing. The room is well decorated and well coordinated. The double bed is comfortable with quality bedding... More

The B&B is in a very good location on the bus route into the city. The Scottish breakfast was really tasty and plenty of it, It would have been nice to have some music in the background as it was really quiet and felt a bit like everyone was listening to each others conversations. The four poster bedroom was decorated... More

Just returned from a wonderful weekend in Edinburgh. The trip was made all the better by our stay at Glenalmond House. Jimmy & Fiona are very welcoming hosts. The house is decorated to an extremely high standard and some of the touches are similar to what you would see in a top class hotel, except this doesn't have the top... More

Excellent service and very friendly owners. The breakfast menu caters for absolutely all tastes and the haggis is fantastic! Ideal location - less than 10 minutes from town by bus, and they run approximately every 5 minutes during the day. The room was of a high standard and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept... More

Fiona and Jimmy have a fantastic B&B about a 20minute walk from the centre of Edinburgh. We had some personal issues which meant we had to cancel our original booking in November but Jimmy and Fiona were incredibly accommodating and moved our booking to February with no hassle especially as we had booked a "non-refunable" deal. We were in room... More
