My wife booked us the family room (12) for a one night stay and what a treat. The room was large and very comfortable it was warm and the location was very quiet. The owner is very friendly and really helpful. We needed to get in to a show and she pointed us to the correct bus and even gave... More

I am not opposed to Hotels being 'out of date' providing they are warm, clean and comfortable, and this is exactly what I discovered at this small hotel when I just turned up en spec last weekend. The staff were very accommodating, the room was absolutely fine, breakfast was of good quality and plenty of it. There are little extra... More

Very nice hotel. Excellent spacious bedroom and bathroom with a high standard of furnishings. Excellent location with 5 minutes walk to Haymarket and end of Princes Street with variety of eateries, station and buses. Around the corner from Murrayfield and with parking. Would definitely stay again.

This is an AMAZING Hotel/B&B! The location couldn't be better. The hotel is right at a bus stop that has both local buses into town and also the Airlink bus to the airport. And, if you fancy a walk, you can easily make it into the heart of the city in 30-40mins. The hospitality was excellent! The proprietor is so... More

We have used The Edinburgh Lodge several times on our travels over the past two years, great location, fantastic rooms size (room no.5). Excellent bus route directly outside the hotel 10mins to city centre and above all the food and hospitality of Daisy the owner are nothing short of excellence. Highly recommended by two regular travellers.

Friendly hotel in good location within walking distance of Princess Street and not far from the Airport. I stayed in the only single bedroom with ensuite which was spacious, comfortable, clean and had free Wifi. Tea/Coffee was available in the room. Full Scottish breakfast was enjoyable, but you do need to request black pudding ! Staff friendly.

We spent a weekend here in October celebrating our anniversary. We had a really lovely welcome by the owner who gave us lots of helpful information about how to get around town, as we had travelled up by train the hotel was in a perfect location for a car free weekend. The staff were all very friendly, the breakfast was... More

We had a very pleasant stay here in the spring. The owners were very welcoming. Free parking was a bonus - bus stop was handy as it was just over the road and only 10 mins from the city centre. Beautiful building - light and airy and the rooms had lovely high ceilings. Very small bathroom but had everything you... More

Generally OK for a B & B, but is getting rather tired - worn carpets, cracked cup at breakfast, slightly dirty fabric bedhead. We stayed in room 6, which was OK for size and had a large bathroom. However, the shower was so weak the water almost needed help to get out the nozzle (but it was warm)! Room 6... More
