The first room we were assigned was terrible. All the drawers had been removed, the cupboard had been locked and the handle removed. There was mould around the sink It was also at ground level next to the main entrance which meant that you could hear every guest coming in and out. We complained and then were provided with a... I do have a chuckle when i read some of the reviews for this hotel. Lets face some facts. This is Edinburgh, one of the most expensive cities in the world to stay where the average hotel price for a 3* hotel is £150 per room per night. If you want a pool bunged in and a 2 minute walk... More

That’s the wrong picture! An ibis not the Travelodge. We used Travelodge a lot and this is one of the worst stays we have had. We have stayed here before and remember it to have been a good experience. This was probably down to the room we were given 232. It is situated in the old part of the building... More

Pleasant enough, clean basic rooms and well priced and decent food and drink in bar and restaurant! Good enough location and friendly staff. Not five AT&T but what do you expect??? Highly reccomended for a budget stay!

We got a one night stay here for cheap and considering this, it wasn't too bad. Just don't expect to much. Normal hotel room, only 2 pillows, which were referred to as "pancakes" by my husband. We did have a few issues with our room, the floor got wet and damp after showering, so must of had a leak, and... More

First stay at this budget hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Some other Travelodges I have stayed in have been very basic but this one was a good. Room was tidy and clean albeit the bed was a bit lumpy for anything more than a couple of nights. Shower pressure could have been better too but not a disaster. Breakfast was... More

Very disappointing this time around, (we visit & stay quite regularly), no hot water in the entire hotel on the first day... Bathroom grout in tiles, black (mould). Overall décor grubby, walls covered in tea/coffee. Standards very poor, even for Travelodge. Such a shame to see a large hotel in such a poor condition. Travelodge need to review their accommodation/standards,... More

This travelodge is in a great location - just 15 minutes walk from the centre of Edinburgh and with plenty of parking spaces. It also has its own restaurant serving a buffet breakfast - good value for money if you book in advance when booking the room. The room was newly decorated and clean. The only down side was that... I expected a basic room, and have stayed in many Travelodges, but this one felt very spartan, tired and dated. The hallways had scuffed walls, and the lifts were slow, clunky and you wondered whether you'd get there! It looked like a bench might have been removed from the room because there were plugs in a row half way up... More

Not that I set my targets that high, not in a land who's national hero needed a spider to get 7th time lucky to inspire him. If only the spider had run their banks, and perhaps become the future judge of when to sell the UK's gold reserves the rest of us might have been so much better off. However,... More
