I found 'no faults' with this Hotel. The location is perfect! The pillows & beds were like marshmellows! The breakfast was wonderful as was the wait staff! You must try the haggis! I love it ! The breakfast room overlooks the Castle! And the special surprise for me was the 'rubber duck' in the tub! ( My Mother collected rubber... More

I took my husband to edinburgh at the beginning of May this year for his 40th birthday. We stayed in the apex international hotel and what a fantastic hotel. Location is spot on, staff were so friendly and helpful. From the time we put our foot in the door we were very welcomed. If ever returning to Edinburgh, I would... More

Stayed in room 3011, two very comfortable double beds with loads of pillows and cushions. En-suite modern and clean, gorgeous complimentary Elemis toiletries, floor to ceiling windows with the most incredible view of the castle and overlooking the Grassmarket. Complimentary bath robes and jellybeans, really nice touch. All staff were very friendly and helpful especially Suki and Natalie in reception who... More

We loved this hotel when we stayed just before Christmas, and I have raved about it ever since. The location is fantastic, the only problem you might encounter is which of the excellent restaurants and bars to choose-all of which were excellent! The room was a little pokey, but tbf we completely over looked this as soon as we spotted... More

When staying away all I need is a comfortable bed and pillows that are not like bricks with a reasonably good shower. This I had at the Apex International. On the downside, there was no air con and being in the Grassmarket it was noisy therefore impossible to sleep with the windows open. However, there was a fan in the... More

My friends and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel provides free wifi in the rooms and the location is great, a short walk to the royal mile, pick up service from the tour companies, etc. These are its only redeeming qualities. We were in London for six days prior to this so had heavy suitcases and... More

I love this hotel. I stay here regularly on business because of the great location but I love it because of the service, food, and special touches. The view of the castle, especially from the restaurant, is wonderful. The beds are perfect and the rooms modern and very clean. Free wifi, reasonable toiletries, a rubber duck for the bath -... More

We stayed for a couple of nights recently, the welcome was excellent, the staff are friendly and accommodating, we left our luggage to explore the castle for the afternoon. When we checked into our room, it was clean and modern but it looked like it needed a refresh a couple of pieces of furniture were scratched.  The bathroom was clean... More

This was an overnight excursion for us and it was worth every mile we drove and every penny we spent! On arrival our rooms were ready and were comfortable and well appointed. Terrific view from our terrace directly across from the castle (room 4009, I think). It was a quick walk to the Castle and the Royal Mile. Cant imagine... More

Thank you very much for your review. I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. Edinburgh is certainly a must on any itinerary if you are visiting the UK. The views of Edinburgh Castle from our deluxe bedrooms are amongst the best in the city and well worth the upgrade! We are located in the heart... More

The Apex International is in a great location on the Grassmarket. Its a steady walk to the castle, parliament square, the museum and Greyfriars Bobby. There are some good bars and resaturants nearby. Our room wasn't ready so we spent the time with some complimentary drinks at the bar and extra time was added to our checkout. Parking was under... More
