Stayed here three nights whilst waiting to move into my flat, so wanted somewhere quiet on the weekend, and away from party-goers. Definitely a good place to stay if that's what you want too. The room was very clean, comfy and warm. However the showers are terrible, they want to save water but you have to run the shower for... More

Stayed here for a few days before and after my trip with Haggis tours and although you can't fault that it's quiet , clean and has good kitchen and bathrooms I just fond it lacking something ! They have 2 houses and I was in the second house and just felt out of sight out of mind ! The main... More

generally okay, rooms and bathrooms were clean enough however shabby decor and rude staff really let this place down. its seemed like my quires were a waste of their time which made us feel out of place and unwelcome.

The title is indeed true. It is a bit (just a lil bit) far from the city centre, but it is of walking distance. From the house, you may take around 10/15 mins to get to the High Street. You will have a great room here (with TV and a SAFE!) and the wifi connection is really good. Besides, you... More

We informed them we were coming in late and they arranged to have them available for us after hours which was very nice. They are located outside of the bar district town center but close enough that walking into town is non problematic. The rooms was great and the staff was very nice, though my experience with them was limited.... More

I booked two nights here in advance, and paid the full amount before coming back and finding someone in my bed. The girl in charge was genuinely not bothered, and threatened to call the police on me for trying to call and knock on the door to call someone's attention. Terrible service, I plan on getting legal services involved.

The only good thing about this place is the location. Luckily, we only needed it for a bed at night. We were there for 5 nights in later September, and it was FREEZING. There was no heat at all throughout the hostel. I had asked the (very rude) woman at the reception desk if the heater in our room worked,... More

We stayed in a doubles room and found it to be excellent accommodation. The staff were mostly friendly - although a little scattered - we had to check about three times if they had booked a tour we requested. Aside from that no complaints. The location is good and let's you enjoy a short walk through a gorgeous park on... More

Summary: An above-average hostel with a cosy atmosphere. It is definitely not 'Out-of-town' as the last reviewer stated. Pros: This place is in a nice neighborhood, about a 10 minute walk to old town, right across the Meadows. It has a cosy B&B sort of feel. Most of the other reviewers didn't discover it, but this place actually has two... More
