I'd give this place 2.5 if I could, but I can't and I can't justify 3 out of 5 I'm afraid. We paid over £400 for 2 nights stay at this hotel (One double, one single). It's in a good location in Edinburgh's West End, and the website does indeed make it look like a lovely boutique hotel. Unfortunately, it's... More

We were three adults staying in a family/triple room, and we were incredibly satisfied with our two nights at the Ritz Hotel. We enjoyed a clean room, good facilities, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff, big/fluffy towels--we even made use of the hotel bar (Betty's Bar) and enjoyed that. Breakfast comes with several standard continental options (tea, coffee, meat, cheese,... More

I received excellent, friendly and professional service from all the staff. The inclusive continental breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the room was spotless. Yes, parking can be an issue but from experience that is the same for anywhere in central Edinburgh, Haymarket rail station and buses are 2 minutes walk away with Princes Street and the Castle no more... Stayed here with a couple of mates for the weekend its a small family run hotel just around the corner from haymarket station about 2 mins walk from where the airlink bus drops you! It is then about 20 mins walk from grassmarket area or 15 minutes walk from the bottom of princess street. The staff here were very friendly... More

The Ritz Edinburgh is a small boutique hotel in a decent location. It's about a 20 minute bus ride directly from the airport, and the bus stops right near the hotel. The Ritz is also an easy walk to Edinburgh Castle and other tourist spots, with plenty of shops and things along the way. The hotel is old, so don't... More

Th Ritz Hotel staff were very welcoming, our room was a superior twin on the ground floor. It was huge, plenty of storage space and room to spare. The beds were comfortable with feather pillows, yes it was a bit dated but just needs some tlc which the owners are doing as fast as possible. It has a lovely bar with reasonable... More

We googled hotels in Edinburgh and the Ritz was the No1 listing. We booked and the hotel lived upto its listing. It is number one in our books and we cannot wait to visit Edinburgh again and visit our now favourite hotel. The staff and management were very friendly and efficient with nothing too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our... More
