I stayed at this hotel on a visit to the university. It is within a few minutes walk of the building where I was working, and was very convenient from that perspective. This hotel is located quite central. Staff is friendly but the rooms are a bit dirty (carpet dirty and dust everywhere). My showers workes absolutely fine and the bed was comfortable. There was no fridge in my room. The breackfast is OK but coffee specialities like Latte Maciatto are one pound extra.

I stayed here for one night on business. Room was large, clean and comfortable, although the glass door on the bathroom could be disconcerting if your were sharing the room. It's not right in the city centre, but is within easy walking distance of the grassmarket and the train station. No complaints.
