Found this B&B after searching google for dog friendly B&Bs. It was the closest to the city centre so we went for it. Got a family room at the same rate as a double (as it was the last room left unbooked). Good start! Ruary and his wife were very friendly throughout our brief (one night) stay and we and... More

The room was small and the bathroom smaller but worked out just fine. We do not travel with plans to stay in our room. The beds were comfortable and clean and although we faced the front road, were not bothered by the noise. The owners were friendly but not in your face. The breakfast room was very clean. The choice... More

I stayed in the kingsview for 5nights very recently to attend a course close by. I couldn't fault the place at all, every morning breakfast was served very promptly and with a smile. The room was comfortable and quiet even though the guest house had no vacancies which was excellent as I had an early start every morning.Ruary was very helpful... More

Stayed at the KGH in September 2011. Very friendly staff! Especially Debbie and the red haired woman serving the breakfast (I'm sorry I never asked her name...) were very kind and caring when I got a cold and almost couldn't speak... B&B is not that central but a 10 min walk uphill takes you past Grassmarket and straight to the... More

Returned to Kingsview with six friends for a Christmas shopping trip in Edinburgh and had a wonderful stay.. If you're looking for clean and cosy accommodation with a fantastic breakfast, then this is the place to stay. Kingsview is within easy walking distance of the centre, or you can catch regular buses into the city. A day ticket on Lothian... More

We chose this guest house because of its central position, the good reviews and the fact that they accepted our canine quadruped. We were not disappointed. Our ground floor room was large enough for the three of us and was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and there was a plentiful supply of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits.... More
