We live in Fife and just had a family meal in Meldrums, Ceres. The food was excellent - we understand the hotel has recently changed hands and its reputation is on the up. Kids (aged 4 and 8) had half portions from the menu and cleared their plates. Overall - good food, attentive & friendly service. Reasonable (price and selection)... More

Very disappointing bar meal here, had fish & chips - fish clearly frozen & dry - no excuse for serving frozen fish in Fife! Room was cold and dim and very unwelcoming. Used to be much better, won't be back.

Recently spent an overnight at Meldrums while attending a family wedding just outside St Andrews. Had initially booked a hotel in St Andrews but felt I couldn't justify paying St Andrews prices when I would barely be using the room.
