I stayed at Blueskies for 4 nights in a dorm room. I was a little worried when i first got there as its a bi run dowm but my concerns vaporized when i checked in. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they recomended lots of things to see and do and knew all the best bars. The room, although... More

This is by far the worst hostel I stayed at in Europe. The welcome was awful, I felt like I was bothering the staff by checking in. The window was broken in the room and it had a really bad smell. The bathroom itself wasn't too bad, but the showers were so gross I didn't even shower. Ended up cutting... More

I stayed in several hostels all around Scotland, and thought they all were great. So, when I got to the Bluesky Hostel, I was totally shocked. The location is okay - in a student area with nice cafes around and the subway about a block away. The receptionist was nice enough, but not friendly. However, it was so dirty, I... More

This hostel sucked. There were drunk celtics supporters in our room on the first night. They kept terrorizing guests til police came at 5 am and took her out. Shower was broke. The room was cold as hell and the glass of our Window was nearly broken. Lounge was small and some staff members were not nice at all. I... More

If you want to stay in a dodgy part of town, then this is probably for you. It was extremely disconcerting that the signs on the door all stated that we had to be extremely careful. The staff wasn't friendly as we walked in the use the internet and they wouldn't even say hello. The rooms were clean and the... More

On a weekend break to take in the film festival and mosey around the west end. When we arrived we found the hostel to be in a good location and the guy on reception was in very good spirits. We chose the hostel for the price £30 for a double room with ensuite and breakfast(although not to be). But the... More

Very good hostel for short stay. Hostel is situated near a subway station but it is not so far from the city centre. We staid in 8 beds room with toilet and shower which was out of order. There was one shower on the first floor with hot water. Nice lounge with free internet. But mattress wasn't very comfortable. I... More
