Firstly this hotel is a nightmare to locate, even the receptionist admitted as much. The corridors are dark and horrendously painted in a dark red/ purple. The carpets are worn, dirty and wrinkled. The room was appalling it was tiny. The carpets were discoloured and wrinkled, the windows didn't close.. The continental breakfast was laughable and my toast eventually arrived... More

We recently stayed for 1 night and the price was a very reasonable £50.00 for the night for bed and breakfast. Check in was very friendly and we were even upgraded to a bigger room. The room was spacious, clean and had all amenities required. The bed was comfortable too. I imagine all the rooms are differently decorated though as... More

This independently run city centre bolt hole has style and friendliness built in. Can understand some of the negative priggish posts here because its ten years down the line and its not all contemporary decor and fresh paint that some seem to expect. We liked the bar and the food.Stylish. All staff were helpful friendly and our room was fine.

Poor cleanliness in the rooms - hairs left, stains on carpet and stains on walls. Tiny room...swing a cat sprung to mind. Very noisy - 1st floor is a no go if you actually want to sleep. On the plus side...mediocre club downstairs, accommodating friendly staff at breakfast and it was very cheap. All in all...disadvantages outweighed the advantages...wouldn't return.

This hotel was a bit tough for us to find, but an easy walking distance from most of the Glasgow sites. We finally called and they walked out their front door and waved to us. The rooms are good size, and the beds were hard (which we found everywhere we traveled in Scotland). While the room seemed clean, the carpet... More

Dated, Dirty and generally unpleasant, Don't take your shoes off!! I knew bed spreads were notorious for being gross but nothing prepared me for the horror show when I drew the curtain on the window I had to leave open!!

If you need a place to drop your bags before you stay out for the night, this place is just fine. The location is excellent. But the rooms are very minimal -- no chair, no desk, nothing but a hard, lumpy mattress should you want to sit in your room for a few minutes. Breakfast (included) is on the order... More

Myself and my partner recently stayed at The Brunswick Hotel. Had a brilliant over night stay. The room was spotless clean and quite modern. I don't why other reviews have wrote they could here noise, we couldn't here a thing and there was a party going on downstairs and we couldn't hear it from our room. When we headed down... More

Situated not far from Georges Square this place is well situated within handy reach of most central places in Glasgow and it is reasonably priced too. The rooms are just about big enough for a double bed which was v comfortable so nothing luxurious here. Ensuite was functional but needed smartening up as did the whole place if we are... More

had stayed here a few years ago midweek and found it fine but a different story at weekends. the bar has a dj at weekends and the noise of both this and the clients made for a very noisy weekend. The rooms are poky and not terribly clean (stains on carpets, black grouting in bathroom). Overall the whole place needed... More
