We stayed as part of a group in May 2012. We slept in the annexe, which, while a little noisy as the pubs & clubs came out, was very clean and reasonably spacious. Parking is somewhat restricted, so that's maybe a small negative. The breakfast was beautiful, with fresh, local ingredients, served by a lovely, cheery helpful lady (I'm sorry,... More

My brothers, son, and nephews And I stayed here. The welcome at reception was friendly. The annexed rooms we stayed in were clean and reasonably spacious The breakfast was excellent with sliced sausage. We felt that good quality ingredients had beeen chosen. The lady who served breakfast was very friendly, helpful, and efficient. Give her a raise! On a general... More

Stayed with partner late February. Small hotel with restuarant attached. Clean rooms, good bar food plus best bar in Thurso . But thats not to difficult. If in Thurso this is the best place to stay.

Enjoyed the hotel although the four parking spaces would be a problem in the summer. Room was clean and adequate, all the staff we met were very polite and helpfull. Bathroom needs an update with water marks and a general outdated feel. Stay two nights and used the bar for a meal and drinks the first night. Good choice and... More

My experience was very much like the ones below. adequate rooms. friendly staff. good breakfast freshly made. clean. I stayed in the room over the bar. you could hear whooping and general noise but nothing that got in on you. the noise did come later in the night from the boy racers with their noisy exhausts. Why do boys do... More

We almost missed staying here for our one night before heading to Orkney. The tiny hotel sign is so obscure that we had almost given up the search. Luckily a nice couple who were also staying at the hotel pointed us in the right direction. No one at the front desk—the bartender seems to do it all. The best part... More

Stayed here for one night on a motorcycle tour of Scotland in a group of 9. I was aprehensive after booking but that was totally unfounded. From the outside, the place looks remarkably unremarkable but once inside that all changes. The decor is modern & clean & we were met by a really warm welcome. The disappointing bit was we... More

The title says it all really. The hotel is clean and seems to have been recently decorated. The staff were pleasant and there's a pub and The Red Pepper restaurant in the hotel too, where the food was good although there's some sort of restriction imposed on those who would have liked a starter from the bar menu to accompany...
