- Forss Hotel Thurso

Unique location, close to picturesque waterfall, peaceful and tranquil, friendly staff, personal service. Very special place.
A superb position for this 19th century hotel which overlooks the Forss and is convenient for anywhere in Caithness and Sutherland and travel to the Orkneys. It has a most comfortable feel is well appointed with first class facilities and dining and a superb bar! The staff are courteous and friendly and, overall, a most relaxing and beneficial experience.
Not really too much on offer around Thurso, so I landed on Forss House...the TA reviews were good.

Thank you Ann, Kathy and the team for a wonderful couple of days staying at your lovely hotel. We enjoyed everything about it. The room was fabulous, as was the service and the food. We look forward to coming back and would heartily recommend anyone reading this to stay there.
The owner lady is very friendly and helpfull.Rooms are very clean and beautiful.we will stay again, because this is what scotish friendliness means. The diner was very great
We only had one free night to stay there in a busy work schedule in the north - and it was just what we needed. Warm welcome, very comfortable room and excellent food. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing.
We had a birthday celebration here in May 2011. The private dining room was perfect with a rectangular shaped table where it was possible to talk to everyone. The venue and setting is fantastic. We were able to bring our own music - nothing was a problem for the staff. The food was excellent and the service was very efficient....

Excellent food served by charming local waitresses. Cosy bar with a huge selection of whiskies. Best of all is the sparky manageress who manages both you and the hotel with verve...

On the plus side it is situated in lovely grounds and has a lot of period charm. The bed in our room was comfortable and the en-suite...
