Room good size, clean with lovely view over sea. Meal in evening spoilt by uncontrolled children running around the tables - both staff and parents oblivious.

I stayed in one of the lodges here for 2 nights last month. B+B was £30 per night, and the room was cleaned in the morning. After travelling 7 hours to visit family, we made our way to the Weigh Inn - just at the edge of Thurso, before Scrabster. Check-in for our 2 night stay was quick and efficient. The room was clean and I had a great view of the sea. However, the rest of the stay was disappointing. The breakfast was not great and we decided that we would eat elsewhere in the evening. The hotel needs bringing up to date and the stale smell of chips in the reception area and corridors was not great.

Stayed here in August 11 and were not dissapointed. Many folk complain about the tired decor but all 6 of us was more than impressed with the rooms for the money. terrible room cold damp and unappealing bath badly marked with cigarette burns shower pathetic and im sure the fan heater on bathroom wall was not legal the carpet was in a disgusting state and the paper was pealing of the walls never stay there again was like a portakabin divided into sections
