As most other people have said, this is an acceptably quirky place in an area of Scotland with a derth of good hotels. John & Myra certainly make this hotel a joy to visit. Excellent hotel and friendly welcome. Good choice of fresh food and excellent to use as a base for Castle of Mey, Dunnethead and John O Groats.

We had a room in the annexe, which as has been previously mentioned was very damp. The grout in the bathroom tiles was black with damp and the room was very cold with a musty smell.
