We stayed one night in Inverness while enjoying a 10 day driving tour throughout Scotland- wish we had stayed at least two. This comfortable and welcoming home had a spotless room with very comfortable beds. The parking in back was a blessing after a long drive into Inverness and the location was even better than we had anticipated. You are... More

We found it from lonely planet travel guide, we would recommend it again, great and various breakfast menu, nice and helpful hosts, private parking though a bit tight, rooms are simple but clean, think about turning the heater on otherwise it will be cold in the night, the street was quiet, the place is very central and listen the hosts... Could not have chosen a better venue for our first visit to Inverness. Val and Chris the proprietors were very helpful and informative about the places to visit and their knowledge of the area was extensive. Our room was very comfortable with attractive and homely decor. The inclusion of home made shortbread with the normal tea and coffee facility was... More

A huge thank you to the hosts of Mardon guest house for our lovely and comfortable stay. A fantastic location, with easy access to the centre of Inverness. The atmosphere was warming and cosy. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed with Mardon Guest House for four nights during my Highland hiking trip. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Both Val and Chris were very welcoming and very helpful with the sightseeing, dining and transportation information in the city. I had single room en suite which was very clean and comfortable; the room is not big but I had... More

We stayed here in September and were very impressed. Smart clean en suite room with special touches like Val's home-made ginger shortbread. A good location and priced in line with other local accommodation. The breakfast was probably the best we had in the Highlands - fresh local produce, a treat. Highly recommended.

Both comfort, service and friendlyness were topclass. Their breakfasts met my exacting standards - particularly the home made bread/toast and scrambled egg (a lovely yellow mix of chicken and duck eggs) was some of the best I've had and complemented with really tasty black pudding. But the real personal touch was to eat the compelementary home made shortbread that was... More
