what a fantastic building..thats about it really, this place seems to reflect the town in general,a bit forgotten and unloved and living on days gone by,you only have to walk down the high st to see the shops that are empty or for sale. To be fair though for £45 its what you get i suppose, i had to plug in... More

Arrived after a hard day in Glasgow and it was the nearest. Lovely room (TV remote needs a Ph.D to operate). It is near "Morrison's" supermarket and so I treated myself to a nice few snacks. Had a bath and went to bed, even at front it was quiet! Breakfast was nice, guy serving a bit grumpy but hey. It... More

We stayed here with another couple for 6 nights over the Easter period. The staff were very helpful but the hotel is extremely poor. We did not have our rooms serviced for 4 days and only got clean towels etc if the receptionist happened to be in reception when we entered the hotel. The rooms were grubby and the carpet... More

I booked this 3 day break for 2 adults and 2 children for over the Easter weekend. I paid very little for the stay, approx £144 for us all for the full stay- that's equivalent to £12 pppn for b and b. I then read the poor hotel reviews, so was not expecting the Ritz, as this was cheaper than... More

Stayed here many times but has gone down the pan recently. Our room was infested with ants which covered beds and ran across the floor. The bar had no drinks and was not child friendly due the fact that there were no pool table or any other facilities for families. Hats of to the two staff who actually worked there... More
