Ecclectic collections of plates from car boot sales, auctions and 'our holidays what we have been on, don't you know'on the stairs ' , family gallery for guests to admire, stuffed teddies and Raggedie Annes. Lots of twee frew frew. But B&B' s are essentially private homes and your the quest, so the land ladies taste has either to be... More

We find your comments surprising and do not understand some of them. We have never bought a plate at a car boot sale or auction. Our crockery is Portmeirion and do not consider it old fashioned. We pride ourselves in customer service, and this is backed up by the many excellent comments on our warm welcome. Hence the reason we... More

We stayed for 5 nights at the Coila Guest House in May 2013. Lovely spacious rooms, breakfasts excellent in a bright dining room. Hazel and Charlie so friendly and helpful. We are Scots living in England so our visit made us want to come home. Highly recommended.

We chose this guest house to visit a relative on recommendation from trip advisor and it did not disappoint. The room was excellent, spacious and clean. Hazel and Charlie provide all your needs including a tasty menu for breakfast. One of the nicest guest houses we have stayed at and we hope to return.

My wife and I stayed over-night at this guest-house 18/05/13. On arriving the warm welcome from Hazel was wonderful and later we met Charlie (husband) and wow didn't they look after us so well. The bedroom was superbly comfortable with excellent private facilities, the breakfast not to be missed, if you leave hungry its your own fault. I hope one... More

This B&B sets the gold standard benchmark which others should try to copy. From the moment I walked in the front door, I could see that this was special...... and I got the kudos from my friends for my choice of accommodation because they were equally impressed. Nothing is superficial.... everything is the real deal. The owners have great taste... More

Hazel's warm welcome and offering of delicious tea and shortbread quickly made us feel 'at home' at Coila Guest House. Our twin room was perfect in every way - spacious, comfortable, clean, cosy and quiet. Breakfast menu offered an excellent choice and food was delicious. The Guest House is situated in an excellent location, convenient for several quality eateries. Vito's... More

Charlie and Hazel are the kindest people I know. My husband and I stayed to attend a wedding in Ayr, as we travelled by plane our clothes for the wedding were a little crushed in the suitcase. They kindly allowed me to use their iron facilities, if we stayed in a hotel we couldn't have got our clothes sorted. Hazel... More
