I try with all my Tripadvisor reviews to be as honest and open minded as possible. In this case I am biased because my son got married there last week and it was the most beautiful event. It was made even better because the weather broke and in the midst of a rainy spell we had a lovely sunny day... More

If you are down in Ayrshire this is an excellant hotel to go for a lovely meal and the surroundings are so beautiful. The staff are very attentive and the prices you would expect to be pricey, but not so. I have been on several occassions and will be back.

As of this week, I have attended three weddings here and it has delivered every time. The location is amazing with the river & Tam O'Shanter bridge right outside. Of course, Burns cottage and museum are close by too. The decor is a little kitsch but, hey, it is inkeeping with the Scottish/Burns theme. Service is always spot on and... More

This is a stunning venue and an absolute must for anyone visiting Ayrshire. The staff are lovely and friendly and always make you feel very welcome. The room was beautiful, with the canopy bed and the en suite was huge. The only slight downfall is the shower is a little on the smallish side. The restaurant is fascinating with all... More

A beautiful location, attentive staff, the wine list was not extensive, particularly for Chardonnay, wine glasses look and feel cheap! The staff were very attentive and polite. THe food was fine.... Very clean all around. It is recommended but the owner should extend the wine list and change the glasses, being such a lovely establishment.

Had dinner here as part of a large party last week, and despite the fact that the table was booked rather late (15 mins before end of service) we couldn't have been made to feel any more welcome. The food was served at an impressive rate considering the size of the party, i opted for the roast pepper and tomato... More

We had been visiting the nearby Burns Museum during the early afternoon of Saturday 23rd February and (when hungry) acted upon impulse to visit Billie's Bar at The Brig O Doon Hotel for a drink and a snack. What a revelation! Staff were friendly, relaxed and attentive and the ambiance of the premises superbly comfortable and warm. We ordered Bar... More

On arrival at the Hotel the welcome from reception was great and from then on in we knew we were in good hands. The accomodation consists of hotel accodation in the hotel and just across the road at... More

Enjoyed a truly enjoyable meal on Saturday night, not to busy, but there was also a wedding taking place - but this did not detract from our experience. Haggis, fish and raspberries to finish washed down with a Petit chablis - excellent Mr Costley.

I attended my first Burns Supper at the Brig O Doon House Hotel in 2007, and enjoyed it so much, that I returned this year, with friends and family to share in the experience. We were all equally impressed. The quality of service is exceptional. The food - sublime. We had a haggis starter with a Whisky Cream Sauce that... More
