The reception area smelt of fried food. We had a family room which was cold, it was heated by an electric radiator which kept clicking on and off all night. The bathroom had no heating except for a small heated towel rail. The shower was dangerous because it could not be regulated so it was either boiling hot or freezing...

Lovely old hotel in need of some TLC. I believe work will start next year to upgrade. The heating is a must for upgrade, very cold in some rooms and corridor. Staff were excellent and could not do enough to assist. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent. The new curry menu looks great and husband enjoyed his two courses...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bonsyde House Hotel. The views were fantastic, the room was extremely spacious and very well equiped and good sized ensuite. The food was delicious with very generous portions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend the Bonsyde as a good base to explore the surrounding area. Alan and Maureen...

Our room was good size and comfortable. The staff (Susan, Lea, Kirstie, and John) were friendly and helpful. Since we did not have a car (you...

Although not cheap (breakfast is not included in the overnight rate) this hotel was worth the money. The house is lovely, old-fashioned and charming. We had a family room which was enormous, 2 bedrooms with a connecting door plus a very big bathroom. The staff were so welcoming when we arrived late at night and kept the bar open for...

We stayed for one night. The staff were the friendliest I have met in a hotel for a long time! Large chain hotels could learn a few lessons in customer service from them. The hotel was charming but may have been just a bit cleaner. We stayed in roo 8 with lovely views over to Linlithgow and the palace but...
