What did I expect? Someplace nice, yes, as a friend stays regularly. What did I get? A wonderful weekend. Barbara and Mike could not have done more to make our stay a pleasant one. The bed was so comfy it was hard to get up but the breakfast was well worth the effort. Tea/coffee making facilities, with biscuits and fruit... More

Delightful host Nd hostess. Planned on staying several nights but unfortunately had to leave urgently for family reasons. Got bus following morning and Michael the host drove us to stop and waited until we boarded. Barbara hostess supplied us with a wonderful packed breakfast. We will be back thank you both.

I spent a wonderful night at Wit,s End where all comforts were catered for. Barbara and Mike are brilliant hosts who really enjoy having guests in their home. Nothing is too much trouble and the breakfast was all you could ask for. I will certainly return when next in Crosshaven.

Such a nice week.... first time in Crosshaven, first time at Cork Week, and first time at the Wits End B&B.. great weather, pubs, sailing, food and banter.... more than enough reason to make the 2.5hr drive down the new motorway from Dublin. Like many places in Ireland, hospitality seems to come naturally to the people of Crosshaven, and that... More

We were given a wonderfully warm Irish welcome by Barbara and Mike Holloway. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a huge ensuite room with marvellous views over Crosshaven harbour and all our comforts had been considered - hair dryers, tea and coffee making facilities, even a fruit bowl and biscuits in case we were hungry. This was... More

Wits End - What can I say? It is situated in the charming fishing village of Crosshaven which is on the mouth of the Ouna Bui River flowing into Cork Harbour. Crosshaven is also home the oldest yacht club in the world (R.C.Y.C). A proverbial Shangri-La for sailors as the whole of Cork Harbour (inner & outer Harbour) makes an... More
