We spent two nights in Cork on our recent trip around Ireland and found the Emerson House a most exceptional find. Our room was very spacious and had a wonderful view of the city, just a short walk away. Cyril was a most gracious host helping us find just the right night life and restaurants. Excellent choice.

The room was very unpleasant - dirty cups in the tea making area, hairs in the shower, water dripping outside the dirty window behind the bed, too much clutter that hadn't been dusted for years. We really enjoyed our stay here. Our host was very accommodating, knowledgable and even came to look for us when we got lost! The breakfast was wonderful and we appreciated the way we were made to feel welcome.
