This is the best location in Dublin. Right in the middle of the city within walking distance of everything. The staff are very friendly and do everything they can to make you feel welcome. The decor is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast was slightly disappointing but no more so than any other hotel breakfast. That said the... More

I have little further to add to what other reviewers have written about this hotel in terms of it's great staff but rather worn appearance but I do want to share an experience in the hope that others can avoid the same. Due to the last minute cancellation of other plans I found myself looking for a hotel room in... More

As a massive U2 fan I wanted to stay at The Clarence (although it is not themed) so when my husband and children surprised me at christmas with a trip to Dublin with a stay in the afore mentioned hotel, I was delighted!! What a let down, our room was nice and clean but basic, no tea/coffee making facilities, no... More

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend break in March. The room was absolutely lovely with a king size or may be even a superking sized bed. We booked last minute and it was the weekend of a rugby international so having a room with a view of the backs of other rooms did not bother us at all... More

I had been wanting to stay at the Clarence for a few years and finally on a trip to Dublin my sister and I checked in here. We loved our room, it looked over the River Liffey and thought the facilities were great and staff were most friendly. The bar downstairs was great for a drink or afternoon cuppa tea.... More

We stayed here for three nights at the end of our trip around Ireland. This was our forth trip to Ireland. After reading some information on the Clarence and its history we decided to book it for our trip. I believe at one time it was truly nice. The facility is considered a high-end establishment and it charges accordingly. The... More

I spent only 1 night at the Clarence so perhaps not enough time to judge. Room was very clean with large comfortable bed, windows overlooking backstreet so it was quiet. Surprisingly no music channel on TV ( @ Bono's hotel? ) Bathroom was also bright, clean but the bath tub was covered with some old stains so it doesn't look... More

We booked here for dinner because we had seen a deal online, which had since been changed but the manager was happy to honour it. Food was great and service exceptional, but atmosphere and company non existent! We were the only ones there for most of the evening which was a bit off putting. Where the food was good it... More

Stayed here for 1 night and was looking forward to a bit of luxuary, however I found the whole place pretty average! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful 10/10, the room was very small and there was no view whatsoever. The location was good for Temble Bar. The breakfast was over priced so we ate in a cafe round... More

We have alway's eaten at The Tearooms everytime we are in Dublin, and have never had a bad experience. It is the service at this hotel that make's us return, the staff are alway's so wonderful and this is a brilliant hotel to explore Dublin. Yes it is in The Temple Bar area, but we have never had a problem... More
