We stayed at the Mont Clare for 3 nights, booked the Junior Suite as it offers the king sized bed. After getting to the room we realized it was going to be very noisy as the room overlooked the intersection. We asked to switch to a more quiet room and were told no rooms were available and we would have... More

The rooms are pretty run down, but they are clean. The beds are good. The breakfast buffet is good and reasonably priced and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Good location and nothing wrong with the hotel, but it's the ugly sister (Davenport and Alexander are better options). Popular choice for hens/stags and was a bit noisy during my stay.

Fine location, just down the road from Trinity and the National Gallery. Bus stop 1/2 block away, cab stand 1/2 block away in the other direction (you don't want to drive in Dublin!). Room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was very good & the price was competative. The hotel service was exceptional. Every special request was met... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night when attending a concert at a local theatre. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a less than friendly concierge, he basically grunted at us while taking details and organising the key for our room. The hotel itself was clean and when we arrived at the room were surprised at how... More

I have stayed here twice now as it has a good location and that is its only selling point really.the lobby is tiny as you walk in and there is no atmosphere or sense of grandeur which there really should be from a hotel of this pedigree. It is a place to rest ones head and really nothing more, everything from the... Having stopped at this hotel before, we were a bit disappointed with the bedrooms and bathrooms as they were looking a bit tired around the edges. The staff were good, breakfast good and the location excellent. The only real downside was no food at night not even in the bar area, yes I know the sister hotels were only across the... More

Location is Great for walking to lots of sites in Dublin. Such as Trinity College, the Book of Kells, close to a stop for the hop-on-hop-off bus. Close to shopping area, lots of parks and pubs. Staff at hotel was very helpful, breakfast was excellent with many choices so you could have either a large breakfast or a lite breakfast.... More
