This is an excellent place to stay in Dublin if you are on a budget... as most people are these day. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a few quirks I found with the room, but these in no way impacted on my saty.

We found the Clifden Guesthouse because our first two choices were full and we are so glad it happened this way. We like quaint, so it suited us well. For a very low price we had a lot of room walking distance to the center of Dublin and a place to park our rental car. Believe me we were happy...

with the ratings i have given, for the lowest ratings shouldnt even have a mark. they are completely unfriendly and do not want the bother of their guest unless you pay up front your money, even though it states in the room service books in the rooms, you dont have to pay until you leave. not even a car park,...

this probably is the most unfriendly guest house I have ever stayed in. You also have to ring the bell to get in which means at times you are stood outside waiting . there is lots of stairs to the top floor so you'll need to be pretty fit to heave you luggage up there. There was no tea/coffee or...

My wife and I stayed in this hotel while visiting a friend in Dublin. I booked it because it was cheaper than most other options and had a fairly good review in the Rough Guide.
I did regret choosing it though. As other reviewers have said - it is not terrible - the rooms are pretty big, it's fairly clean...

The rooms are very spacious, maybe not the best beds in the world, but clean and very well priced. Plenty of hot water. When we were there it was being run by a brother and sister who own the place and were very helpful. We got the room with no breakfast, which helped keep the cost down. One drawback- you...

I with my 2 friends stayed at Clifden Guesthouse for 5 nights and what a terrible experience and extremely disappointing and how sad it is to write a "bad" review.
It was one of those places where you pull the sheets back quickly to see if there are any bugs on the bed. Luxury 3-star" guesthouse this is definitely not,...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend in June and it was all we needed. Great location, really friendly staff (especially Rowan on the desk) and rooms are nice too. We plan on staying here again in November
Friendly, helpful staff. Hearty breakfasts. Good location. Only drawback: the top floor is ideal for astronauts. If you don't like stairs, try reserving a room closer to the surface of the planet.
