This hotel was lackluster at best. And I really get pissed when, in this day and age, a place charges for WiFi. There is nothing special about this hotel. Our room charge included breakfast and that was good. Plenty of eggs, cheese, sausage, Canadian bacon, fruit, cereal. We stayed in Dublin twice this trip and I guess this hotel could... More

Stayed for two nights in May. Nice, clean rooms, delicious breakfast buffet, walking distance to many attractions. The room was very warm but the a/c cooled it nicely. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating to us.

Restaurant is tired with mismatched wall sconces and torn wallpaper. When I went to move my chair closer to the table, the arm of the chair came off in my hand! The first room i was assigned was on the 6th floor and looked into an air shaft. Im not kidding! After rejecting that ,my next room was on the... More

Overall a great place. friendly staff, nice rooms, good location. My only complaint is no free wifi. there is a desktop in the lobby you can use. For all intents and purposes it was a great hotel. I would stay there again no problem

The location is pretty good, 10 minutes walk from Grafton Street and Trinity College, and a short walk from Pearse station. That can't be faulted. The hotel is a bit of an odd building though, an impressive old façade with a late 20C extension containing most of the rooms behind. The new tries to look old, with varnished, moulded wood... More

Just a good hotel walking distance (10-15 min) from the center. Nice pub and restaurant 5 min walk. Staff was very helpfull. Room was charming, sparkling clean. As usual in historical building, the door to the corridor isn't really sound proof but nothing serious. Parking available (you might need to book as there is a limited number of space).

Dear Christopher, Many thanks for your review. Your comment regarding the door is noted. Although parking may appear limited, there are 60 spaces which to date has been ample due to our location near the city centre. Kind Regards, Declan Fitzgerald General Manager O'Callaghan Davenport Hotel More

We spent three nights here in order to see the sights of Dublin from a convenient location. Most everything of interest is within easy walking range, although the area (Merrion Square) is peaceful and quiet. The room (junior suite) was large and very comfortable....with interesting furniture and artwork and all the usual amenities. We did not eat at this hotel,... More

First time I ever walked out of a restaurant! (Bar area). We ordered food and drinks ( two of us), and approximately fifty minutes later after having two drinks each, we decided to leave and pay for the drinks we had. Waiting 50 mins for "fish&chips" is a bit ridiculous in my view. The bar was not even that busy,It's... More

Reception / check in and out was efficient, pleasant and helpful. Room in need of a good updating/decorating. I see what they were trying to do with the style, but the dark furniture doesn't set the mood if it's chipped and scratched, nor does it say quality - sorry. Bathroom OK Breakfast quite good, certainly plentiful and a good choice.... More

Although nothing went wrong while I was in this hotel, the general feeling we got from the hotel was lackluster. For the price paid I expect more than just standard room.
