Me and my mum stayed here for a night in May 2013, after spending the previous night in a travel lodge. We had a really nice stay, the rooms were clean, beds were comfy and the staff were extremely friendly, could tell us anything we wanted to know, would go out of there way to help us, by far the... The location was perfect for our trip as the hotel was very close to the bus station. It was also very handy for the hop-on hop-off city sightseeing bus & only a few minutes walk to the temple bar area. The room & en-suite shower were clean, although the bathroom was definitely cosy. Breakfast options were limited to cereal &... More

Location: We found the location in Talbot Street to be great, just 2 minute walk to O’Connell Street where you can catch the HOHO Dublin bus if desired or begin your shopping experience in Dublin. If arriving or departing by plane the hotel will arrange transport by the Paddy’s Green Bus and its free. Appears to be a safe area.... More

We spent our last night in Ireland at the Celtic Lodge because we wanted to be right downtown. Most folks can walk anywhere downtown from Talbot Street. There are lots of street venues in this area and a street mall on Talbot. If you stay at the Celtic, try to get a room above street level because understandably, there will... More

We've stayed in Celtic Lodge on Talbot Street twice.. It's not fancy but clean & has a great breakfast. Rooms are larger than most B&B's we've experienced with great shower. There is no elevator & rooms are on upper levels. Staff is friendly and eager to please. The Celtic prices are below average and it is convenient to the Abbey,... More

Our room was reasonably comfortable, but the bathroom was very small. It was quiet as we had a room in the back. The location was great, just a few blocks from O'Connell St. The breakfast was not to our liking (we're vegetarians), but it was adequate. The price was reasonable for Dublin.

We stayed here from Thursday until Sunday and we found the accomodation actually very good overall, comfortable and clean, fresh towels every day but bed linen not changed daily (Doesn't worry me unduly after all do you change it daily at home?) Breakfast is good if you are not vegetarian......but plenty of cereal & toast (A Full Irish breakfast for... More

Never again!!! I booked this place for my parents. On check-out day, my parents left their bags in the hall in the morning and went shopping for a while before catching the shuttle bus to the airport in the afternoon. When they came back to collect their bags, they were accused of stealing a blanket from the room. Without asking... More

From Anne, Manager at The Celtic Lodge. I do apologise for your experience; however, two fleece blankets were taken from the room and have not been found since. They were there at check-in and not at check out. You must see it from our point of view that this sort of thing happens quite often and nine times out of... More

Had a very nice time at this hotel. Clean, decorated in good taste, helpful staff and very good breakfast all contributed to a swell vacation in Dublin. The hotel is well placed, near the city centre. Make sure you visit the bar down stairs, "The Celt" great Irish atmosphere, live music, delicious cooking and friendly bar owner and staff.
