We had carefully selected our stay and we were very pleased! Friendly staff, great food, very easy to take the bus to the city center (and to the airport). Located in Ballsbridge area, a cozy area of town. You might want a room at the back to avoid light street and pub noise - but very calm compared to anything... More

We stayed here for 3 nights as my husband had been to school here so he enjoyed the nostalgia! Rooms very comfortable, bathroom a little small but adaquate. Breafasts very good and served at your table which I prefer to buffet syyle but you can help yourself to cereals bread and fruit . We ate in the bar which was... More

The building is charming, with lovely wood beam vaulted ceilings in the bar and restaurant. It is also popular for drinks and dinner with locals who are not staying in the hotel which is a good sign but can mean it is worth making a reservation for dinner. There are not too many rooms hence it has a boutique feel.... More

We have just returned from our second stay at SchoolHouse Hotel. The rooms are very clean and although the beds are huge, they are a little hard. But having said that, the service you'll get at SchoolHouse is second to none. The staff are great and as helpful and attentive to your needs as 5* Hotels The cost includes complimentary... More

The music and food in the bar attached to the hotel were both excellent. Start your day off right by spending the extra money for the bed & breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean and were replenished every day with complimentary snacks and bottled water. Wifi was free, easy to use, and the signal strength was good. The hotel... More

Boutique hotel with character. Could not fault cleanliness of bathroom but bedroom needs serious dusting. Lots of cobwebs hanging from four poster bed. Really liked the concept of hotel but a pity as we were awake all night sneezing

Myself and my friend stayed in the schoolhouse hotel due to its closeness to the O2 arena where we were going to see a concert. However, we did not expect the outstanding service tha we received at the hotel. We experienced true luxury at an unbelievable bargain and the staff were simply fantastic. There is always someone there day and... More

Having stayed in multiple hotels in the Ballsbridge area, I must say that the Schoolhouse Hotel is above average for the area, particularly for the price range. However, beware of the paper-thin walls, particularly in the basement rooms. (I've stayed on the ground floor rooms before as well and didn't remember the walls being this thin). In the basement room... More

Hello Zana, Many thanks for taking the time to pop your comments online regarding your recent stay, your feedback is much appreciated. My apologies for any inconvenience caused by the guest next door. It is actually very unusual as generally our guests comment on the peaceful aspect of the bedrooms here in The Schoolhouse, particularly as we are located so... More

Stayed here one night at the end of our trip. Pretty cool place. It really is an old school house redone into a big b&b/hotel. Rooms are very nice - clean and unique. Price was about right relative to other options. Not cheap but not the most expensive and priced right as it's high quality. Breakfast was so so. Not... More

Hello Sara, Thank you so much for your lovely comments. The Schoolhouse Hotel is extremely unique as it was originally St Stephens School and was very carefully converted into a hotel in 1998, keeping many of the original features such as the fire places in the bar & restaurant. All of our bedrooms are also individually named, each using different... More
