This is a hostel-priced frill-less hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the house itself and the neighbourhood are both beautiful. Sharing bathroom was no problem. A bit cold during the night though. The location is a bit of problem because if you don't drive, you HAVE to take a bus to go into town, and although Dublin's public transport is... More

This is a cheap accommodation located in Rathgar, run by honest, easy-going guys. Rathgar is a nice, tranquil and safe area in the South of Dublin, around 4 kmtrs from the city centre. Bus stops are located less than 5 minutes walk from the guesthouse. It is an old house in which you may or may not find yourself comfortable.... More

The cheapest alternative is definitely The Marilyn Mansion 37 Garville Avenue, D6 Dublin, Ireland. The location is really central and easy to reach the center of Dublin by foot. In addition to this unique cost-effective, convenient location, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The staff speaks several languages, and thus there are no language barriers. We opted for an en-suite room for our stay and we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable, warm and clean. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and free WiFi. We were very pleased for the low price we paid to stay. Would stay here again.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms and overall everything you could hope for such a low wage. Good breakfast, welcoming family atmosphere, nice for meeting other people, good bus connection to city, 5 min to bus.

We stayed in the Marylin Mansio for 6 nights in two different rooms (one with bathroom and the other one with shared bathroom) in August. The house is very nice, not far from the city centre (several buses available). Very cheap, clean, and really friendly. We do recommend this place! Isabelle and Keri
