I stayed at the Carlton with a large group on a cycle to Dublin. The staff were very helpful to our group and went out of treir way to assist us. Rooms ; Were std size with all mod cons and comfortable bed. Food ; Only had breakfast. Buffet style with very wide choice of fruit, cerals and cooked breakfast.... More

I wasn't expecting a whole lot to be honest! When we pulled up outside I thought to myself that it was just another tourist hotel however I'm delighted to say they have proved me wrong. From check in we have been met with nothing but friendly and efficient staff. We ate in the bar tonight and it was delicious.... The... More

Stayed in the Carlton hotel Galway on a business trip. I found the staff to be excellent they couldn't do enough for me. I ate in the bar and the food was good, I would have preferred a better choice but it was bar food afterall. This hotel is nice its outside of the city so its a walk if... More

When we arrived at this hotel we were initially impressed by the car park, the frontage, the lounge, bar and reception area. We were also impressed to be told our room war ready and we could check in. We were, however, slightly taken aback when told that it would be better to move our car round to the back of... More

Not central location, 20 mn walk to city enter. Big car parking. Room spacious but outdated in terms of design. Clean room and clean bathroom. No WIFI in the room, they provide you a lan cable but was never able to connect to internet. Needed to use the iron and it was not working. Would not stay there for a... More

Got a twin room for €22.75 p/p on a Wednesday ngt. Great deal, great hotel, rooms comfortable. En-suites clean, Bar pleasant, does a great pint of Budweiser. Didn't go for the breakfast, an extra €10 p/p which is a bit expensive. It's also slightly outside the city, no problem if you have your own transport.

My husband and I stayed in the Carlton for the past 2 nights. 2 nights for just 89 euro. Fantastic. Food really tasty and wide variety of carvery, bar food or restaurant. Staff very helpful. Would definately stay there again. Highly recommended.

For the size of this hotel, it could do so much more. it kind of does what you need it to do, if that is somewhere for a short stay to lay your head. But it will not wow. Rooms lack comfort, in a way a budget hotel in any city does, although they are very spacious. technology is dated... More

We stayed in this hotel as part of a family break (total of 4 adults and 4 children). Our rooms were lovely. Spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Service in the bar, particularly, was very good. The location of the hotel, however, wasn't ideal. It was just outside the city centre, not too far, but a... More

Spent May Bank Holiday weekend(Thurs. - Sun) here....family wedding in Galway on the Friday....wedding reception in a different hotel. From start to finish my wife and I were hugely impressed with the friendliness of the staff in particular. Hotel room, food and leisure facilities were superb. We only realised there were at least one stag party and one hen party... More
