We usually appreciate seclusion, space and serenity. This B&B booking was a bit last minute, so didn't suss it out in great detail. Could just see from map where it is situated on sea front. Didn't notice the garage or the bar opposite or expect busy traffic. On arrival it is easy to find, welcome sincere, room perfectly clean, very... More

My friends and I overnighted at Claremont House . It was a welcoming comfortable and memorable stay .We were offered a beverage on arrival and enjoyed an appetising breakfast .The comfort of the bedrooms and ensuite were on a par with five star ratings .The hosts were a good advert for Irish tourism . well done and continued success to... The room was an average size, but clean, as was the bathroom. Comfortable bed and a good full Irish breakfast prepared by Stephen. A little disappointment tough, the location. Claremount House is on a busy road, right next door to a gas station and across the street from an old tired looking hotel.

Although it said on their web site that it's convenient to Galway pubs, music, restaurants, theatres, cinema, art galleries etc; it's closer to 20 minutes walk to any of them. My wife and I are fast walkers, none of those facitlities are within walking distance taking into consideration the weather..! The room in our opinion was a little on the... More

The rooms was really nice and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave.(the duck duvet was amazing). In... More

The owners, breakfast and the room were fine. Location was poor. ( Check previous travelers photos of a blue hotel across the street) There's a very tired looking hotel across the street from the b&b. The bed and breakfast is right on the main road and the traffic noise at night is unbearable as we like to keep the window... More

Stayed with Claremount House over the chrsitmas period and it was a pleasure. The beds were extreamly big and comfy and the B&B had a real cosy family atmosphere. the views from the rooms were also wonderful as you can see the golf course and the tide coming in each morning. The breakfast was superb in the morning and Stephen... More
