Maybe a long time ago the Climbers Inn was the place to stay. As others mention, it was musty, not so friendly, almost deserted and the food was soup and sandwiches. Rooms were clean. We stayed as a base camp for climbing Carantoohill. Its a grand spot. The bar serves qaulity pints and you can have a bit of craic with the locals. They have a pool table too. The Woman who runs it will be serving you pints until closing and then up the following morning cooking you a tasty breakfast and sandwiches... More
