Stayed in Celtic House, Kilkenny for one night in April 2012. Lovely B&B, very clean and Angela is very welcoming and accommodating. The main entrance is lovely (with a full length mirror at the bottom of the stairs, great for checking your outfit before a night out). Twin room was a very good size with tv and kettle in the... Celtic House is in a great location for exploring Kilkenny on foot. It's just a few minutes to downtown and Kilkenny Castle, etc., but on a side street, which makes for quieter sleeping. There is a locked car park, which is nice, but means you can't get your car in or out in off-hours when the hosts are not there.... More

We spent one night in Kilkenny and wished we could have stayed longer! Very clean with beautiful paintings on the walls. Delicious food. We arrived needing recommendations about a place to fix our flat tire and our hosts helped us right out. Convenient location with sights of Kilkenny in walking distance. Read Angela's book on our flight home...Great read... Host... More

We booked by phone and had to cancel. We rang before noon on the day of travel and were still charged the full amount. I checked online at 6pm only to find no availability, so I assumed the room was let. We were only told of the 48 hour cancellation policy when we queried the charge. We had not been... More

In our visit to Ireland, we stayed in Kilkenny for 4 days. The Celtic House was perfect. It's location puts you a very short walk from the bustling main strip and you can see the castle towers overlooking the city from the bedroom windows! Breakfast was hot and delicious, a perfect way to start your day on a cool March... More

We loved the Celtic House. Its exceptionally clean with beautiful paintings on the walls by the owner Angela Byrne. Its like an Art Gallery, Angela has written a book which I am looking forward to reading. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night. Clean. Good location. Rooms are really cold, not very well decorated, sockets weren't working so had to dry hair in corridor with no mirror. Luckily enough we weren't spending much time in the room. Breakfast was cold and only served till 9.30am. Pretty early for a Sunday morning . Cleaning staff very friendly.

As we had this couple and one other gentleman in the house at this time. We had explained we had a problem with the electric sockets in the room they were in. we were waiting on our electrician to come and fix same. And they stayed two nights with us. I wish they would have told us about their complaint... More

This wonderful B&B is located within skipping distance of everything to see in Kilenny, but more importantly the B&B is run by a charming couple (Angela & John) who will make your visit to Kilkenny magical. Their smile will warm you and their breakfast will send you on your way feeling happy.

My husband and I selected Celtic House, a lovely town house for our stay in Kilkenny. It’s located within walking distance to pubs, restaurants and Kilkenny Castle.
